The Captain & Tanneal Shiraz 2025
In 2022, looking to reset after a family setback, Tanneal joined forces with the Captain known as Jack Sparrow, to bring 30-year-old vines back to life at what is now JarrahWood Estate. Their first harvest was just 18 kg, turned into three precious dozen bottles of Reserve Red. Now, from last year’s triumphant 1.6-tonne pick, this wine stands as proof of their passion and perseverance. Without Tanneal, these old vines may have been lost forever.
Crafted at JarrahWood Estate in the historic Brookhampton district, this Shiraz shows deep crimson-purple hues, vibrant red berries and black cherry, subtle spice, and earthy tones. Medium-bodied, silky and beautifully balanced, it finishes long, refined and memorable, just like the journey behind it.
